Local / PDS / G+2 Sale

Buyer's fees:

  •  5 % government registration fee
  •  2 % + VAT agency fee
  •  1 % + VAT notary fee

Seller's fees:

  • 5 % government transfer tax
  •  2 % + VAT agency fee


The Non-Citizens (Property Restriction) Act (the ‘NCPR Act’)

Buyer's fees:

  •  15 % government registration fee
  •  2 % + VAT agency fee
  •  1 % + VAT notary fee

Seller's fees:

  • 5 % government transfer tax
  •  2 % + VAT agency fee


RES Sale

Buyer's fees:

  • 5 % government registration fee or USD 25,000 whichever is the higher
  • 2 % + VAT agency fee
  •  1 % + VAT notary fee

Seller's fees:

  • 5 % government transfer tax
  • 2 % + VAT agency fee


IRS Sale

Buyer's fees:

  • 5 %  government registration fee or USD 70,000 whichever is the higher
  •  2 % + VAT agency fee
  •  1 % + VAT notary fee

Seller's fees:

  • 5 % government transfer tax
  • 2 % + VAT agency fee


Notes

When buying off-plan, there is usually no agency fee.

When buying as a non-citizen, an application fee to the EDB is currently between Rs 10,000 and Rs 50,000 Mauritian Rupees.


Agency fees

Rental:

Our fees* are based on the standard market practice of one (1) month's rental + VAT to be paid into our bank account by lessor and lessee on presentation of our invoice at the signing of the Lease Agreement.

Sale:

Our fees* are based on the standard market practice of two (2) % of the selling price + VAT to be paid into our bank account by seller and buyer on presentation of our invoice at the signing of the Deed. No agency fees applicable for off-plan properties.

* A portion of the fees are donated to charitable organisations around Africa because WE CARE for and believe in the Men and Women of Africa
